On a fourth-and-4 against the Dolphins last week, Tom Brady -- yes, Tom Brady -- broke off an 8-yard-run to pick up the first down.
It doesn't happen very often. And Patriots center Ryan Wendell is glad for that.
"Any time he gets out there, it scares me because you don't want to see him get hit," Wendell said.
Wendell said Brady is the first to let his offensive line know he's capable of running the ball.
"He gets really excited. He knows off of his rushing stats," Wendell said.
That's 22 carries for a whopping 18 yards this season, and 424 carries for 766 yards in his career, a 1.8-yard average.
