Sebastian Vollmer's left ankle injury was not severe enough to end his season.
The Patriots left tackle, who left Sunday's game in the first quarter, will be back for the postseason. He is not expected to play in the season finale this Sunday in Miami.
The Patriots have been buffeted by injury at virtually every position except quarterback this season. Vollmer, who was rolled up on by running back Joey Iosefa, was forced to left tackle in Week 6 by the loss of starter Nate Solder.
Recently signed LaAdrian Waddle came in for Vollmer. Waddle injured his shoulder late, and the Patriots finished out their overtime loss to the Jets with Cameron Fleming at left tackle.
