As the NFL Draft draws near Tom E. Curran has made it clear that he believes the New England Patriots should take UConn defensive back Byron Jones in the first round.
Jones joined Quick Slants to discuss what it has been like entering the NFL Draft.
"It's been a rollercoaster," said Jones. "October, November I'm in a sling. Fast forward three months later I'm the man at the combine. It's been a fun rollercoaster to be a part of, but at the same time I have to stay focused."
During his time at UConn, Byron Jones played both cornerback and safety. Heading into Draft day Jones considers himself a cornerback.
"You see the trend in the NFL moving towards bigger, longer, more physical corners," he explained. "I think I fit that mold. I think that would be most beneficial to me and my attributes."
