The dust continues to settle on the shocking trade that sent Logan Mankins to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
NBC Sports football analyst Ross Tucker joined SportsNet Central to discuss the deal.
"They just got worse for this season," said Tucker. "What they are saying is they no longer think Logan is worth that money. I totally understand that, but you can't argue with me that the Patriots are better today than they were yesterday. Unless they get a lot more out of Tim Wright than any of us think they're going to get."
Trenni Kusnierek pointed out that sometimes the 'Patriot Way' and be seen as a "cutthroat" and "cold" tactic.
How are the Patriots seen around the league?
"I think guys realize that it's all business there." said Tucker. "As soon as they realize or believe that you're no longer worth the money they're paying you, they are going to ask you take a pay cut or they're going to get rid of you. That is the 'Patriot way' that those guys know."
