FOXBORO -- Kenbrell Thompkins was targeted 14 times on Sunday in Buffalo. He finished with only four receptions for 42 yards.

It was obvious, throughout the day, that he and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady were not on the same page.

A day later, when asked about what he needs to do to improve, Thompkins admitted he needed to adjust to Brady's style.

"Pretty much just playing at his tempo," said Thompkins. "And just doing the things that he tells me to do, and trusting him and trusting the instincts that he wants me to do, pretty much."

One thing that Thompkins has already learned, is looking forward, and not into the past.

"We've pretty much thrown Buffalo out the window right now, so we're pretty much focused on the Jets right now," said Thompkins on Monday. "It starts tomorrow. We obviously going out there, getting the game plan and preparing.

"Buffalo is in the past. The mistakes have obviously been made, and we're looking forward to the Jets right now."
