It's been a roller coaster season for Kenbrell Thompkins.
The highest point was his two-touchdown performance against the Bucs in Week 3.
The low was a healthy scratch against the Steelers in Week 9.
In between, it's been a frustrating mix of dropped passes and miscommunication, but that's to be expected from any young receiver, especially in an offense as complex as New England's. Even more so with a quarterback as demanding as Tom Brady.
But it's been Brady who has been Thompkins' biggest supporter and ally during the season.
"Just to have [Brady] around is a big deal for me," says Thompkins.
As the two have worked on their communication, and as Thompkins' development has evolved, the two have offered glimpses of what could be.

Aaron Dobson is out against the Texans, which means Thompkins figures to get some additional looks.
It will be a great chance to see just how far Brady and Thompkins have come since the beginning of the season.
