FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The highlight of the Patriots third quarter was the fact the defense threw a set of three-and-outs at the Ryan Nassib-led Giants offense.

The lowlight was the Giants offense. Holy crap is this team going to suck until it goes into its post-Halloween-Save-Tom’s-Job mode.

A few notable notes

* Right guard Jon Halapio let up a particularly bad pressure on the Pats first drive of the second half, getting turnstiled so Jim Garoppolo had to fling out of bounds.

* Jeremy Gallon muffed a punt at the 10.

* Jake Bequette had a sack and a tackle for loss.

* Michael Buchanan left with an ankle injury.

* Aaron Dobson nearly capped a lengthy Patriots field goal drive with a diving catch at the back of the end zone but he was ruled out of bounds. Twitter said he was in but Twitter couldn’t get it’s challenge flag out in time.

* When the Giants finally did get a drive going, Daxton Swanson ended it with a nice strip along the sidelines after a 17-yard reception by Adrien Robinson.
