Terrell Suggs says Tom Brady's legacy not tarnished

Terrell Suggs doesn’t often miss a chance to lob a grenade at Tom Brady. Between alleging preferential treatment from officials, calling Brady the “pretty boy up North” or leaving Brady off his 2010 Pro Bowl ballot in favor of Ryan Fitzpatrick (Brady was unanimous MVP that season), Suggs loves to grind his rival.

But when asked whether the Deflategate drama diminished Brady, Suggs gave a surprising answer to Baltimore media this week.

"The guy is a winner," Suggs said. "He's won with whatever kind of personnel that he's had. So I don't think it really tarnished it. But you know, you need something to write about. Everybody needs something to write about and needs something to talk about. It's always something. I'm leaving that alone. They have people who handle that. I am going to stick to what we got to do here."

That could be a June response. If the suspension is vacated and the Patriots meet the Ravens anytime soon, I’ll be surprised if Suggs’ tone remains the same.
