LeGarrette Blount's strong effort in Week 14 (8 carries for 42 yards and 1 catch for 32 yards) was rewarded with more opportunities the following Sunday. The running back started in favor of lead back Stevan Ridley and got the ball for the first four plays of the drive. All 5 of his carries were strong and he averaged 5 yards per run. New England's passing game was not as impressive (Tom Brady started 6-for-9) and the team settled for 3 points on the drive. Blount's early efforts were positive, however.
