Who's for real in the AFC and who isn't?

That's the question posed to Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy and WEEI's Kirk Minihane on "Uno Sports Tonight."

The Denver Broncos, the likely No. 1 seed, are legitimate by default, Shaugnessy said.

"We've saw them lose here blowing a 24-point lead [to the Patriots]," he said. "We've seen them spit the bit last Thursday vs. San Diego."

After Denver, Shaughnessy said, the rest of the AFC "is a jump ball."

Minihane agreed.

"You tell me any one of these teams goes to the Super Bowl, I'd buy it," he said.

Co-host Gary Tanguay offered one other legitimate contender beside the Broncos, and it's the Patriots opponent this Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens.

"They've won four in a row, they're on a roll and they aren't intimidated by New England," Tanguay said.
