Why did Bill Belichick go off on Wes Welker and the play that knocked Aqib Talib out of the AFC Championship Game?
"Because he wants to win and he hasn't won in a long time," Deion Sanders told Michael Felger and Tony Massarotti on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Felger and Mazz from Radio Row at the Super Bowl.
Sanders said that the emotions came forward after the loss, leading the Patriots coach, and in his opinion the greatest coach in NFL history, to call out his former receiver.
"First of all, I think he's the greatest coach ever to grace the sidelines," Sanders said. "I really do."
And, Sanders said, Belichick's quarterback isn't far behind.
"Tom Brady, if not the greatest, is one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game," Sanders said.
As for Brady's window of how long he'll remain a championship-level QB?
"Until he feels he's not one of the best," Sanders said.
