Report: Bills sign former Patriots DE Anderson

Share

It was presumed that the Patriots wanted to keep defensive end Mark Anderson after he became a free agent this offseason. But it appears as though the two sides could never agree to terms on a new deal because Anderson has bolted north for Buffalo.

The speed-rushing defensive end has agreed to a four-year deal with the Bills, according to the Boston Herald.

Instead of being a weapon off the edge for the Patriots, he's now a division rival. The Bills already had a stout defensive line, and the new acquisitions of Mario Williams and Anderson -- who had 10 sacks last year in New England -- only make them tougher.

More to come . . .
