As the roster cut continues, the Patriots will part ways with a former second-round pick.
According to Pro Football Talk, the New England Patriots have cut defensive end Jermaine Cunningham.
In three seasons with the Patriots, Cunningham recorded 59 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
The 25-year-old missed four games last season after violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substance policy.
After Cunningham's release, the Patriots still need to cut 11 players by Saturday at 6 pm.
