Paul Perillo of Patriots Football Weekly called the Pats' victory over the Ravens last Sunday the best game of the season and singled out a few reasons why.

First, the Patriots were able to overcome the concussion that took safety Devin McCourty out of the game. Perillo called McCourty "the glue" of the Pats secondary but said he was pleased to see Duron Harmon and Tavon Wilson step in and make plays.

"It'll be interesting to see how this secondary reacts without McCourty," Perillo said.

Secondly, the patchwork offensive line - with guard Logan Mankins moving to left tackle - wasn't hurt by having rookie Josh Kline step in.

In fact, Perillo said, "I didn't know a lot about Josh Kline before the game and I still don't know a lot about him, which is a good thing." If you're not noticed, you must be doing your job, right?

Finally, a shoutout to special teamer Matthew Slater who "continues to make play after play after play," Perillo said.
