Patriots-Steelers inactives: Wendell out

FOXBORO - The Patriots announced their inactives for Thursday's season opener against the Steelers, and the offensive line has taken another big hit.

Ryan Wendell is one of seven inactive players listed on the report, despite the fact that he wasn't on the team's injury report all week.

Wendell was on the team's PUP list until two weeks ago, so it's most likely that he's just not in game shape yet.

The team is already without starting center Bryan Stork, so the best options for the Patriots are Josh Kline and David Andrews.

Rookie defensive lineman Trey Flowers (knee), running back Travaris Cadet (hamstring), and safety Tavon Wilson (quad) were all listed as questionable on the team's injury report and are inactive.

Defensive lineman Khyri Thornton, linebacker Rufus Johnson, and defensive back Justin Coleman round out the inactive list.
