Patriots prep not sitting well with Jets d-coordinator

FOXBORO - The belly of Kacy Rodgers, the Jets defensive coordinator, is not having a pleasant week.

On Thursday, when asked by the assembled media about the challenges the Patriots pose offensively, Rodgers said, “You just made my stomach want to throw up. When you look at them on tape, they pose a lot of problems, with the matchup issues they create."

The main issue, said Rodgers (courtesy of Darryl Slater from NJ.com.)

"When you're watching them [on film], you are curious of how they view you," Rodgers said. "We won't know until the first 15 or 20 plays, to say, 'This is where they are going. This is the matchup they are shooting for. This is how they are going to attack us.' As we sit here and look at ourselves, how do they see us? You're playing the guessing game. A lot of times, we don't want to chase ghosts, so we just have to be ready to react to whatever they give us."

The other major difficulty, of course, is dealing with Rob Gronkowski.

"I would say he's one of the hardest [to prepare for]," Rodgers said. "His size, his strength, his catching ability, his blocking ability, versatility ... I could keep going on and on. He's a very talented player."
