Borges has more confidence in the offense and still has doubts about defense.

Ron Borges of the Boston Herald says it's the offense that gives him more confidence going into this season for the Patriots, despite the additions to the defense, including All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis.

"It's still the offense, to me, and Tom Brady," Borges told Gary Tanguay and WEEI's Kirk Minihane on Arbella Early Edition. "He's more proven than anybody else."

"Who's he going to throw to?" Tanguay asked.

"Doesn't seem to matter," Borges said. "He could throw to the three of us."

Borges still has his doubts about the revamped defense.

"Obviously the secondary is better, on paper. Pass rush hasn't really improved a lot...I just don't think their front seven is all that good. Chandler Jones disappears, at the end of seasons, for the past two years. Wilfork? There looked like there were two Wilforks out there [at OTAs]. And that's concerning."
