Merloni: Patriots still beat Cowboys if Romo, Bryant play

The New England Patriots defeated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday by a score of 30-6.

But how would it have gone if quarterback Tony Romo and wideout Dez Bryant were active?

“Ultimately they still win this game, no matter who was out there. Personally, I wanted Dez. I wanted Romo. Because I wanted a test,” said Lou Merloni on Arbella Early Edition. “You play the Dallas Cowboys, and of all the stars you have to shut down Jason Witten. That is it. That is the only weapon they really had.

“I think it’s more of a learning lesson. They would’ve won that game. But I wanted to see those guys out there. It wouldn’t have been 30-6.
