McCann: Brady proceedings have gotten ‘very hostile'

The Deflategate saga already feels like it has been going on for a lifetime, and it appears that there is no end in sight.

Sports Illustrated legal analyst Michael McCann doesn't see a settlement happening before things go in front of Judge Berman, and says the appeal could carry on much longer if it goes to federal appeals court.

"The tone of this proceeding has gotten very hostile," said McCann. "I think both sides are entrenched. I don't think they see the benefit of a settlement . . . This is a story where money doesn't matter. It's about a legacy. It's about reputation. Both sides have clear reasons not to settle. The tone of Friday's proceedings suggests settlement is not happening."
