Kraft tells Larry King he hopes he helped Brady

When Robert Kraft stepped to the podium at the owners meetings in San Francisco last week, he spoke for about six minutes and officially accepted the NFL's Deflategate punishment without mentioning quarterback Tom Brady.

At the time, there were those who assumed that Kraft wouldn't have retreated from his public back-and-forth with the league unless he had a deal in place with commissioner Roger Goodell that resulted in a reduced suspension for the Patriots quarterback.

That notion has since been shot down by all parties involved, but on Saturday, Larry King tweeted that he spoke to Kraft, and Kraft said that he hoped he had helped Brady's appeal by laying down arms.
