FOXBORO - Tommy Kelly returned to the Patriots practice field Wednesday morning.
The veteran defensive tackle was laid low by a knee injury October 6 in Cincinnati.
With Kelly nearing a return and newly signed Isaac Sopoaga both on the practice field on this raw, rainy Wednesday, New England has visual confirmation that defensive line reinforcements are on the way.
Aqib Talib, who didn't play last week against the Dolphins thanks to his hip injury suffered against the Saints, was again back on the practice field.
Shane Vereen, who is eligible to return from short-term IR in week 11, was also on the field this morning for the first time since the wrist injury suffered in the opener. Leon Washington reappeared as well.
The full practice report will be released by the team later in the day.
