Hurley: NFL players ‘should be terrified' after Deflategate

If an NFL player plans on getting in trouble any time soon, they should be terrified of Roger Goodell and the NFL, says Michael Hurley.

As the Deflategate case keeps unraveling, the NFL hasn't necessarily looked it's best. The latest hit? The release of the testimony transcripts from Tom Brady's appeal hearing.

"The overall impact, lasting impact of this, if any NFL player is paying attention, he should be terrified," Hurley said on Felger and Mazz. "You can’t win. It doesn’t matter that the NFL has nothing on you. Roger Goodell won’t believe you. If he doesn’t want to believe you, he won’t believe you. You've got to relinquish your privacy. If you don’t do that, you’re going to be punished. Precedent? Throw it out the window, it doesn’t matter. Due process doesn’t matter. Roger Goodell ruling on his own decision, and an NFL lawyer arguing to Goodell that Goodell was right all along."
