Many Patriots fans will get paid on Friday. They'll rejoice. They'll pay their bills. They'll take their significant others out to dinner. They'll bet big on Gonzaga, Oregon or one of the Carolinas. They'll have a new lease on life.

But none will see their bank accounts get a boost quite like the one their quarterback got today.

When Tom Brady was given an extension last offseason, he was due a $28 million signing bonus. Half of that was sent his way as soon as he signed. The other half? That was due to him on on Mar. 31, per ESPN's Field Yates

Brady's signing-bonus installments have helped to even out his relatively microscopic base salaries in 2016 and 2017 -- $1 million each.

The 39-year-old is under contract with the Patriots through 2019. He's scheduled to have base salaries of $14 million in both 2018 and 2019.
