After Rob Gronkowski signed a six-year, 54 million deal in June, the Patriots tight end kept getting asked what he'd spend the cash on.
Gronkowski's lips stayed zipped. At a charity golf event last month he literally backed away from the media hoard's contract questions with a sheepish wag of his head.
Yet at least one answer has emerged.
The Gronk Nation Youth Foundation and G&G Fitness have partnered with the United States DEA, New York-New Jersey High Intensity Drug Area program, and the Buffalo Bills Youth Foundation to fund over 30,000 of workout equipment for The Renaissance Campus.
The West Seneca clinic is a treatment facility for young people struggling with chemical dependency. Gronkowski will be on hand for Friday's grand opening of the newly renovated gym.
"When you're growing up, you need to stay around people who are headed in the right direction and stay away from people who will take you in the wrong direction," Gronkowski said. "I'm very proud to be involved with Renaissance Campus, where we can help kids do the right thing by staying away from the wrong things."
