Gresh: Garoppolo ‘looked pretty good' against Packers

Before Thursday's preseason game there was quite a bit of back and forth about whether Tom Brady would play or not.

He played just two series before Jimmy Garoppolo took over for the remainder of the game.

Despite some struggles early when he appeared to be forcing passes to Josh Boyce, Andy Gresh was pleased with Garoppolo's performance.

"When he ran the structure of the offense I think you saw a football player who, quite honestly, looked pretty good," said Gresh. "He was in rhythm, he delivered the football well, some accuracy issues. I didn't like the sack at the end of the [first] half. But we need to remember this guy has hardly played, he's making the jump from [Division] 1 Double A. He's probably where he should be in his development, but he plays in front of a Hall of Famer.
