Gasper: ‘Surprised' if Patriots pursue La'El Collins

Rookie offensive lineman La'el Collins went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft despite having first-round talent.

The former LSU Tiger is speaking to Baton Rouge police in regards to the murder of his girlfriend and her child.

If cleared, reports say the New England Patriots and a lot of other teams are going to have interest.

On Arbella Early Edition, Gary Tanguay and Chris Gasper discussed if the Patriots should pursue Collins.

"If he ends up being cleared, you're going to get a first-round talent at an undrafted free agent cost and that is exciting for a lot of these teams," said Gasper. "I know the police are saying he's not a suspect at this time, but I would be surprised to see the Patriots go that route given the fact that it wasn't that long ago they had a former player convicted of murder."
