With the NHL and NBA playoffs in full swing, football fans continue to prepare for the multi-day extravaganza that is the NFL Draft.
The league pushed the Draft back a few weeks this season.
Marc Bertrand joins Michael Felger and Lou Merloni to discuss the timing of the NFL Draft.
"The idea was to generate more buzz" said Felger, "I feel like it's less… I think it's another example of the over-saturation of this. There's only so much buzz you can generate."
"They tried to stretch it out a little bit more. I don't think it worked… How many times can you watch [the rankings of quarterbacks.]
Bertrand believes the NFL wants to be active year-round.
"They are doing everything they can to not have an offseason." said Bertrand, "The only month they really don't have anything is really the month of June. The just need to find something for June."
