Peyton Manning’s career remains very much in the present tense, meanwhile two of his old running mates are up for Hall of Fame consideration.
Marvin Harrison and Tony Dungy were both among the 25 semifinalists announced as being considered for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2014 Wednesday night.
Harrison and Dungy both wrapped things up after the 2008 season. Manning, the player most responsible for landing both of them on the list, is now a Bronco and preparing to face the Patriots Sunday night.
Among the other semifinalists announced, Derrick Brooks and Walter Jones were the other first time nominees to advance to the semifinal level. The inductees are announced the Saturday before the Super Bowl.
