Tom E. Curran, on Town Fair Tire Sports Tonight, got all worked up over the Patriots' second round pick - Jimmy Garoppolo.
"Brian Hoyer was more suited," says Curran, citing Hoyer's experience against tougher college competition. "This kid will not know whether to poop or go blind in some of these preseason games."
"They never, ever, ever should have spent a second round pick on him."
Curran would have preferred the Patriots target a receiver like Odell Beckham Jr or Allen Robinson.
"Those guys could’ve helped Tom Brady who was throwing to Matt Mulligan and Matthew Slater," says Curran.
New England would have had to move up to select either player - Beckham went in the first round (12th overall), while Robinson was selected 61st overall by the Jaguars, one pick before the Patriots selected Garoppolo.
