New England Patriots fans continue to hold their breath with every movement that Rob Gronkowski makes, hopeful that the star tight end can avoid another lost season after a string of costly injuries.

Mike Giardi and Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran discuss Gronk's first few days of camp.

"I think it’s just such a hurdle that has been cleared that he’s out there, it’s hard to say ‘wow he doesn’t look that great’," says Curran, "and I do think he looks pretty good. [He's] able to elevate and land on his tiptoes… so it’s great to see that."

Beyond Gronkowski, the Patriots are left with a cast of young receivers, the oft-injured Danny Amendola, and offseason acquisition Brandon LaFell. In short, it's a receiving corp full of question marks, but Gronk undoubtedly gives Tom Brady and the Patriots their most powerful offensive weapon.

So far, the results look promising.

"I thought he looked the same as yesterday," says Curran. "It’s going to be a process, but right now he is flying to the checkpoints."
