Jimmy Garoppolo may be wearing a red non-contact jersey during training camp, but he was hit early and often in the preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers.
Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran saw through the seven sacks against the second-year quarterback and is able to focus on the positives.
"People complained about how slow he was to get the football out. He has to process more. And he's been hesitant because he is processing more than he's been accustomed to," said Curran. "I'm glad he's not saying, 'you know what, I'm going to that guy regardless to what I see.' He's still going through the process. I think this is good growing pains."
