Curran: Brady not visiting White House overplayed

If you haven't heard, Tom Brady wasn't present when the New England Patriots visited the White House last week.

On Quick Slants, Tom E. Curran sounded off on the overreaction surrounding Tom Brady's absence.

"Brady bought an Apple watch on Friday? He was at the stadium the same day he didn't go to Washington? Apparently all family commitments need to be 72 hours long," said Curran. "The absence of a firm explanation gave everyone a chance to decide what they wanted it to be about: Brady hates Obama, he wants to run for office, he's arrogant, you name it. In short, everyone got to fit the occasion to their agenda, and that's where we are. If we don't know what the truth is, let's just make it up.

"Should he have gone? Shouldn't he have gone? I don't know and I really don't care. You want to care? Have at it. But there's probably some better things to invest that outrage in, aren't there?"
