The performance of the Patriots receiving corps Thursday night was…abysmal.

Ex-Patriot wide receiver Troy Brown was on hand on Postgame Live to evaluate this group of past catchers. He wasn't kind but noted that these two early victories, no matter how sloppy they have been, could be very important for New England.

"Get those wins now while you can if you're winning ugly because at least these kids have a chance to improve as you're winning ugly, it'll get better, it can't get any worse," Brown said. "It'll get better as we go on throughout the course of the season."

Certainly Brown is right in his assertion that the receivers for the Patriots can't get any worse, but are you confident that they will improve enough quickly to make this squad a legitimate contender? Offer your thoughts in the comments section below.
