This is the kind of scare that the Patriots could do without.
Tom Brady left the Patriots' joint practice with Tampa Bay on Wednesday afternoon with what appears to be some kind of left leg injury. The Patriots quarterback went to the turf holding his left knee after attempting a deep pass down the sideline. He came off the field briefly and Ryan Mallett entered to take the quarterback snaps.
Brady came back on to the field quickly. After running three more plays and sporadically checking his left knee, he had a conversation with coach Bill Belichick and trainers, leaving practice under his own power though with a noticeable limp.
A fan named Chad Kopcak took a video from the stands that showed Buccaneers defensive end Adrian Clayborn pushing Patriots tackle Nate Solder into Brady's knee.
