Are Patriots being unfair to Welker?

There was quite the debate over Wes Welker on Felger & Mazz. Do you think that being a model citizen matters when it comes to salary?
It can be said that Welker is approachable, and might even have that model citizen status. But, should the Patriots pay for that? No they shouldn't, thats the emotional part even if it remains a factor.
"Off the field they want a guy who is a good reflection of the organization"
Ultimately it's aout what your value is to the team. We all like Welker, and what he represents. But when it comes time to sit at that table and make a deal it's all about leverage and Welker doesn't have much.
