FOXBORO -- Danny Amendola is active for New England's Week 8 matchup against Miami. The receiver suffered a concussion after taking a brutal hit against the Saints two weeks ago. He was consequently sidelined for last Sunday's game against the Jets.
But after a full week of practice, Amendola said Friday he felt healthy and was ready to play. All he needed was clearance from the team doctor and an unaffiliated specialist.
Tavon Wilson is also active this Sunday. A bad hamstring has kept the safety out of game action since Week 4.
Defensive lineman Andre Carter, signed just four days ago, will make his Patriots debut (for the second time in his career).
Cornerback Aqib Talib is not so lucky. Despite practicing, he is sidelined for a second consecutive game because of a hip injury.
The full list of Patriots inactives:
CB - Aqib Talib (Hip)
RB - Leon Washington (Ankle)
DT - Tommy Kelly (Knee)
LB - Steve Beauharnais (Healthy scratch)

The Dolphins don't have a single man downed by injury today; every inactive is a healthy scratch. Offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie, who Miami brought in last Monday, is active as expected. Reportedly, he may start against New England.

DB - Jamar Taylor
