WILMINGTONThere was plenty of talk during the month of Bruins training camp that 19-year-old Tyler Seguin might be staying with a billet family this season in Boston.
The Bruins front office waited more than six weeks before finally making a housing decision for their puck prodigy, but they eventually settled on the odd couple roommates in Seguin and 20-year-old Jordan Caron. Theyve leased a beautiful, spacious condo in Charlestown together with guiding hand of the Bruins, and have already gotten into the swing of living together on their own.
Theres been talk of Xbox being played with the latest Call of Duty and NHLgames among the most popularchoices. There are also plenty of movies on tap now that the cable guy has been by the place.
Its going pretty good. We were on the road over the last week or so, so its only been a few days. But were playing Xbox and watching movies. You know . . . teenager stuff, said Caron. I just got Xbox Live, so Ill probably start gaming in the next couple of days.
Its almost like a college dorm-type situation for the pair of Bruins, though the 6000 a month price tag for the eight month lease is probably a little steep for the average 19-year-old living in Boston. Then again Seguin and Caron arent exactly the average teenagers are they?
Our place is beautiful. Its a great three-bedroom in Charlestown with a crazy view, said Seguin. Its so big that we havent even really bumped into each other yet.
While they havent been living together long enough to have their typical roommate complaints and they do have a cleaning service coming on a regular basis to spruce things up, theres some early indicators that Seguin might be taking the Oscar Madison role in this Odd Couple.

I might have left my spaghetti plate on the table from yesterday, and I looked this morning and it was gone. So he must have cleaned it up, Seguin said with a laugh. But Im not going to say 'Thank you' like I know hes doing it, though, so hopefully he just keeps doing it without me saying anything.
Caron said hes not an overly neat guy, but theyll figure out a natural working order between the two young Bs forwards.
Its a good idea with the two young guys living together. Weve been playing a lot of games, so things are pretty calm around there, said Caron. We clean up and take care of our own dishes. Im not too messy and not too neat, but I just clean up my own stuff. I dont want Seguin to have to pick up any of my stuff.
Sounds like Seguin has the better of that Odd Couple arrangement for the time being.
