Report: Thomas mulling over sitting out a season

NEWARK, NJAdding another level of intrigue to the offseason of Tim Thomas, the Bruins goaltender is apparently considering sitting out the entire 2012-13 season according to a TSN report.
No explanation was given as to Thomas reasoning behind the potential NHL sabbatical.
CSNNE.com reported that Thomas moved his family from the suburbs of Boston to the Colorado Springs, Colorado area midway through this past seasona departure after Thomas had previously made his permanent home in Boston.
The Bruins goaltender also befuddled many with his noncommittal comments towards the organization after their playoffs run was over, and noticeably avoided questions about his happiness in Boston and his desire to retire a member of the Bs organization.
Peter Chiarelli had maintained he wasnt inclined to entertain trade offers for his goaltenders during a press conference following their playoff loss to the Washington Capitals, but that would appear very much subject to change given the tumultuous season between player and organization.
Thomas is completely healthy and is signed for one more season at a 5 million salary cap hit with a previous full no-trade clause lifting on July 1. Tuukka Rask is a restricted free agent thats expected to sign with the Bruins, but they have begun stockpiling young goaltenders in recent week with the signing of 22-year-old Swedish goalie Niklas Svedberg.
