Peverley missing from morning skate for ‘personal reasons'

BOSTON -- It was truly back to normal on Tuesday morning as the Bruins went through the paces at a morning skate prior to tonights Black and Gold scrimmage at TD Garden.
The only wrinkle in the morning skate proceedings on the Garden ice was the absence of third line right wing Rich Peverley, who was replaced by AHL journeyman Jamie Tardif alongside Chris Kelly and Chris Bourque. Peverley missed the morning run-through for personal reasons but is expected to be in a Bruins sweater when the team takes the ice for Tuesday nights scrimmage before a capacity crowd of 17,565 after all the free tickets were printed by late Tuesday morning.
Otherwise the lines and defensemen pairings were as theyve been over the first few days of camp: The first, second and fourth forward lines appear to be intact and 19-year-old Dougie Hamilton was paired once again with German import Dennis Seidenberg.
It will be exciting to be in front of our own fans and it will be a selloutif you want to call it that, said Zdeno Chara. It will be fun. It just shows that you fans are so excited to see hockey. They should basically get a chance to see all of the players in the Boston Bruins system, so that should be exciting.
Bruins head coach Claude Julien also indicated hell be taking his customary spot manning one of the benches.
