Going through Bruins withdrawals

Its been six days since the Bruins last played.

Six days since the Bs swept the Flyers and handed The Filth commemorative golf clubs to enjoy the summer with.

Six days of sitting. waiting and waiting

and more waiting while the Vancouver Canucks toyed with the Nashville Sexual Predators and the San Jose Sharks do their best to (once again) choke in the playoffs.

And by the time the Bruins finally face off with the Tampa Bay Lightning itll be a whole eight days.

EIGHT DAYS! Thats more than a week.

Needless to say, were going through some serious withdrawals at the moment.

So whats a fan to do? How can we faithful Bruins fans pass the time until Saturday night?

First, we tried watching the Red Sox.

And it took them only five hours for them to do it. What a slow and agonizing death.

OK. Well how about the Celtics. Rumor has it they were supposed to kick some serious ass this year.

Oooook. Better luck next year, boys. Theres gotta be some good Patriots news, right? Offseason camp should be starting soon.

Crap.

And its not just Bruins fans. Dont you wonder how the dynamic duo that is the Great American Hockey Show is spending their down time?

See! Even the GAHS is going a little bit crazy in this Bruins lull. Mike Giardi is trying to cheat on his mancrush, Brian Gionta.

And you dont even want to know how the Wicked Good Sports crew is spending our free time.

Oh man.

Please tell us its Saturday.

NFL owners release statements on Trump comments

President Donald Trump's comments about NFL players and his tweeted dis-invite of the Warriors led to some prominent athletes to speak out. Now NFL franchises and their owners are weighing in.

At a rally in Alabama on Friday night, Trump said NFL owners should fire players who kneel during the national anthem. And he encouraged NFL fans to walk out of games in protest.

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, you’d say, ’Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out! He’s fired,” Trump told the rally.

He also lamented that football has become less violent.

“They’re ruining the game,” he complained.
