Friday's Patriots free agent update

There are some interesting movements afoot among free agents with possible or actual ties to New England. The Raiders are expected to release outside linebacker Kamerion Wimbley on Friday. A solid pass rusher, Wimbley signed a too-big contract with the Raiders and - less than a year later - will be untethered. The Patriots have a need, but folks close to the situation don't believe New England will be in on him. Mark Anderson is visiting Miami. The Patriots pass rusher certainly owes it to himself to see what's out there after reviving his career in 2011. Kendall Langford left Cincinnati without a contract. The Bengals defensive lineman will head to St. Louis next. The Patriots have murmured interest. LaRon Landry is going to visit the Jets this weekend. The Patriots have expressed curiosity about Landry as well.
