WALTHAM -- Boston Celtics big man Chris Wilcox could miss three to four weeks, Doc Rivers projected, with an ulnar collateral sprain in his right thumb.

Wilcox suffered the injury during last Tuesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. He will not travel with the Celtics on the upcoming road trip.

This injury is one of many Wilcox has battled with in 2012. He underwent season-ending heart surgery in March and battled back from back spasms at the start of this season.

He is averaging 4.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.4 blocked shots in 23 games.
