TAMPA - Tough way to begin training camp.

With the early-morning temperature pushing 80 and the dew point sticking right with it, Sebastian Vollmer, Daniel Fells and Jeff Demps hit the field this morning for a full-pads practice with the Buccaneers.

Vollmer and Fells were activated from the PUP list after Friday's preseason game with the Eagles. Demps was signed last week after competing in the London Olympics as a sprinter.

Practice was only open to media for the first 30 minutes of stretching and positional drills so there was very little intersquad work except between kickers and returners.

The three-field complex at One Bucs Place had Tampa working on the far left field, the Patriots on the middle field and specialists on the right-hand field.

In addition to the public debuts of Vollmer, Demps and Fells, other Patriots returning to practice after layoffs were Tavon Wilson, Alfonzo Dennard, James Ihedigbo and Spencer Larsen.

The teams are scheduled to work for about two hours and we will then have access to players as they leave the field.
