Multiple sources tell Tom E. Curran on Tuesday that wide receiver Deion Branch's return to the Patriots is "likely".
Branch, who has been released twice by the Patriots this season, was most recently released on Nov. 17 following a hamstring injury. He appears to have recovered fully enough to return.
Branch had nine receptions for 80 yards in seven games this season with New England before his last release.
The Patriots placed WR Donte' Stallworth on IR on Tuesday with an ankle injury.
