Source: Hernandez out vs. Colts

FOXBORO -- A source confirmed Saturday that tight end Aaron Hernandez, hobbled most of the season by an ankle injury he suffered in Week 2 against the Cardinals, will not play today against the Colts.

Hernandez missed three games after first getting hurt, then returned in Week 6 against the Seahawks and also played the next week against the Jets. He caught 11 passes in those two games for 84 yards and a touchdown.

But Hernandez didn't play Oct. 28 in London against the Rams and now will have missed two straight games after the Nov. 4 bye. He has been listed as having "limited participation" in practices during that time.
