FOXBORO -- The Patriots announced a few end-of-the-roster moves on Monday to clear a spot for defensive end Jermaine Cunningham, who returned from his four-game suspension for violating the NFL policy against using performance-enhancing substances.

The Patriots released wide receiver Kamar Aiken and fullback James Develin from the 53-man roster and dropped receiver Tony Logan and offensive lineman Jeremiah Warren from the practice squad.

Aiken, 23, was signed from the practice squad on Saturday and played in the 23-16 victory in Jacksonville on Sunday. He was released by Buffalo after training camp this past summer.
Develin, 24, from Brown University, joined the practice squad on Sept. 1 and was signed to the 53-man roster on Nov. 28. He played in his first NFL game vs. San Francisco on Dec. 16.
