Patriots owner Robert Kraft is a finalist for the Halas Award from the Pro Football Writers Association, according to Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe.
Bedard posted that the award is given to "the player or coach who has performed with abandon despite injury or personal problems off the field".
Kraft helped facilitate the end of the NFL's labor strife despite last summer despite dealing with the illness, and subsequent death, of his wife Myra.
