Report: Arrington wants back with Patriots

The Patriots may not only lose cornerback Aqib Talib to free agency, but cornerback Kyle Arrington as well.

If that does happen, it's no fault of Arrington's.

Speaking with the Boston Herald, Arrington's agent said that Arrington's first priority is remaining with the Patriots, but there haven't been talks yet.

Does New England feel the same? Arrington is a hard worker by all accounts, working his way from the practice squad to the team's starting lineup in two seasons. But his pass coverage has been suspect, especially this season. And when Talib went down with a hamstring injury in the AFC Championship game, the secondary's collective ineptitude was on display.

Arrington has 233 tackles and eight interceptions in 56 career games for the Patriots, although he had zero interceptions this season. He also plays on the special teams unit.
