Ravens aren't extra motivated by AFC Championship loss

FOXBORO -- Maybe it's insincere, maybe it's not. But the Baltimore Ravens are at least saying they've put last year's AFC Championship loss behind them.

Entering Sunday night's game between the Patriots and Ravens in Baltimore, coach John Harbaugh says his team won't be extra-motivated just because New England prevented them from going to the Super Bowl last season.

"I probably view it like the Patriots," said Harbaugh in a conference call on Wednesday. "I'd be disappointed if they needed extra motivation, really, for any game, especially against such a respected opponent like the Patriots."

Safety Ed Reed felt the same way, pointing out that it's a new season.

"That was last year," said Reed. "They only crowned one champ last year, if I'm not mistaken. It's behind us. We're a totally different team this year. We don't even have some of the same guys on the team. It's always a new year the next year, man. We're not -- I know I'm not
-- worried about what happened last year. It was over and done with after that game."
