Smith was notified at the team hotel of Tevin Chris Jones' death sometime after 1 a.m. and left Baltimore immediately.

Jones, 19, died Saturday night in northeast Virginia, according to the Associated Press.

"I can't believe my little brother is gone..." Smith Tweeted early Sunday, "...be thankful for your loved ones and tell them you love them...this is the hardest thing ever."
